About The Journal

International Journal of Multiple Sclerosis and Related Disorders (JSC) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research related to multiple sclerosis (MS) and its associated disorders. The journal covers all aspects of MS, including its clinical, epidemiological, genetic, immunological, neurological, and pathological features. The journal also provides a platform for researchers to discuss the latest findings, advancements and challenges in MS research.

Scope of the Journal:

Autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system, Axo-glial pathobiology, Biomarkers, Clinical and neuroimaging, Clinical neurology, Epidemiology, Epidemology and genetics, Genetics epigenetics, Immune-mediated disease, Immunology, Manic-depressive illness, Microbiome, Multiple sclerosis, Myelin biology, Neurodegenerative diseases, Neuroimaging etc.

Remaining Scope can be viewed at Aim and Scope

Submission Process:

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the online submission system. Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the instructions for authors. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed and judged on their academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope. Once accepted, the manuscripts will be published in the next available issue of the journal.

The submission types include:

1. Original Research Articles: These articles present novel findings and data-driven insights into autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system, including multiple sclerosis (MS) and other immune-mediated diseases. Research topics may encompass genetics, epigenetics, neurodegenerative diseases, myelin biology, and axonal damage, integrating advanced clinical and neuroimaging techniques to explore disease mechanisms and treatment outcomes.

2. Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews that synthesize and critically evaluate current research on multiple sclerosis, autoimmune diseases, and neuroimmunology. Topics can include recent advances in biomarkers, microbiome influences on MS progression, and the epidemiology and genetics of manic-depressive illness and related disorders, providing valuable insights for both clinical practice and ongoing research efforts.

3. Clinical Studies: Articles detailing clinical trials, observational studies, and real-world evidence related to MS, neurodegenerative diseases, and immune-mediated disorders.

4. Short Communications: Brief reports of significant or emerging findings in the field of autoimmune diseases and neuroimmunology, with a focus on innovative discoveries in biomarkers, genetics, epigenetics.

5. Letters to the Editor: Submissions intended for feedback or discussion of previously published research in the journal. These may include commentary on studies related to MS, immune-mediated diseases, microbiome impacts, or genetic and epidemiological factors influencing neurodegenerative diseases.

6. Perspective or Opinion Piece: Articles offering expert opinions on current trends, challenges, or future directions in neuroimmunology, autoimmune diseases, and neurodegeneration.

7. Case Reports: Detailed reports on rare or unique cases of multiple sclerosis, manic-depressive illness, or other immune-mediated diseases. These cases may provide insights into genetic predispositions, novel treatment approaches, or neuroimaging findings that contribute to clinical practice.

8. Methodological Articles: Research focused on the development and application of new methodologies in genetic analysis, neuroimaging, or biomarker discovery.

Article Processing Charge:

JSC provides authors with an article processing charge (APC). This charge helps to cover the cost of publishing as it is an open access platform.
